Having contractions but cervix is closed
Im 35 + 4, a FTM, and had a big of a scare this morning. I'm still commuting 1.5 hours each way into the city for work and started having contractions on my way in. I was almost at my stop on the subway and one came on so strong I couldn't get up and ended up missing it. I still went into work and drank a ton of water and tried walking around but still had contractions. Decided to take an UBER home and then drive to my hospital to get checked.
Sure enough, they were actual contractions but upon exam no dilation. Got a bunch of fluids and was sent home. Need to keep drinking water and resting- my doctor thinks I'm pushing myself too hard. Thankfully Friday is my last day of work and then I'll be off for a month before due date, that's if he doesn't decide to come sooner.
Any other mamas have this happen? Did you end up going into labor early?
