Is it true that your period is lighter if you take birth control??

It depends on you and what kind of pill you're taking. I've always had long heavy periods, on or off the pill. The only thing the pill changed for me was cycle length; my normal cycle is 25 days, it went to 28 on the pill, went right back to 25 when I stopped taking the pill. I've heard some people say the pill helped with cramps and such, I've never had much of a problem with them so it didn't make a noticeable difference for me in that regard.

Birth control pills can make your period lighter and PMS symptoms easier. This is due to the progesterone in the pill. Also, your periods will be regulated (if they're not already) and, depending on the amount of estrogen in the pill you take, your breasts might get a bit fuller. Unfortunately, I had to go off the pill, because of migraines (it's a trigger), but when I was on it my monthly was much easier.

Mine changed when I came off the pill, it used to last 5 days and now it's a week and it's heavier. I miss my birth control periods 😭

It is different for many different people and depending on the birth control. This is a pretty vague question. I never noticed much can be in my period flow, but now I'm like clock work. 5-7 days every 28-30 days.

Not for me but it last 3 days for me but it's different for each woman it can make it shorter longer and bleed in between periods

There's other medications for that sole purpose if you don't want to go on birth control
