All baby mattresses are going to be hard and seem uncomfortable. I voted for "comfort" with respect to you and the crib. It needs to be safe obviously, but also a height, etc. that's comfortable for you since you'll be leaning over it a lot.

In the end, comfort/price is a balance.

I didn't vote. But we were most concerned with a solid, heavy, sturdy crib. We looked at babies r us and they just all felt so flimsy (probably just needed to tightened up) but it turned me off. We ended up spending quite a bit more than the one we looked at Babies R us from a boutique store but it was a great investment, survived baby #1 with very little damage!

Even when I buy my own bed price is more important than comfort lmao. But i agree with the other ladies here safety is the most important.
