My birth story πŸ‘ΆπŸ»πŸ‘£πŸ’™

Amanda my midwife Induced me at midnight at 39weeks as I had been in a couple of times because I rarely felt my little boy kicking. Before I got induced I had a sweep and got told to go home get my bag and come back to get induced if I'm still worried about movements. Tbh I was still worried about movements but I also just wanted my little boy. After I got induced I stayed in over night. The night in hospital was hell no sleep what'soever haha!!
My waters broke 10am. I thought I was peeing myself then I realised I couldn't stop. I have to take a flat tampon thing out of me (which they used to induce me) then I started getting contractions but I wouldn't call them contractions as they weren't as painful as they were in active labour lmao.
I was 2cm at 3pm it was going slow!! 5cm at 5pm. I called and they said I'll have to wait half an hour to get a room to go upstairs. Anyway we went up to labour room (Bardney ward) at 5:30pm as soon as we got up the I said I feel like I need to push I was 9cm within half an hour!!!
After it being a stressful night my partner and I thought it would be good if my mum came up and helped us out. 6:30pm my mum arrived.
Arianna my midwife gave me toast and cup of tea in labour while I was waiting for things to progress. I couldn't eat the toast but I drank the tea and literally projectile vommitted 3 times πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ I've never drank so much water in labour I had nearly 10litres literally. Not even joking.
I had a trainee A&E women in there and two midwifes as Arianna was about to finish and Amanda helped me give birth on gas and air.
I was pushing for about three hours. Alfie  7lbs 2oz at 8:15pm πŸ’™
I must say its not as scary as people say it was perfect. It was the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'd do it all over again. I loved being pregnant and I love being a mummy πŸ’™πŸ‘ΆπŸ»πŸ‘£
