How would you feel if your SO did this?

So I recently started a job and there's a guy that's married and has a baby that's given me compliments multiple times calling me pretty or telling me I look good today. It doesn't bother me but all I could think of is, if that were my husband, I'd be pissed! Is this totally acceptable or should he not be doing this!?

I feel like if the guy only said that once, no big deal. But the fact that he keeps telling you is a bit odd to me. I personally wouldn't want my guy to be acting that way towards anyone else. But that's just me.

I think it depends. I compliment EVERYONE all the time lol if he's singling you out though that sounds like he might have a crush or something, which he shouldn't be flaunting. If it continues and makes advances, just straight up tell him it's disrespectful to his wife, I bet that would stop it really quick. Lol

There are some people who give compliments every chance they get
Maybe his goal is to make someone smile everyday
Does he tell other ppl this ? If so then clearly you're over reacting

I think it would just be the intention behind it. I don't see anything wrong with someone giving you compliments, but if he's making other advances then it becomes inappropriate.

My boyfriend rarely works in the office, but he had to go in to clear a bunch of payroll stuff up with a new HR lady. During the meeting (with this woman he had never met) he thought she was just being overly nice to him when suddenly she asked him out for drinks. He responded "I'm happily in a serious relationship, so I doubt that will ever happen."  He called me afterwards and told me immediately because it pissed him off. It pissed me off too. That's the kind of shit I'D expect for myself in an office from a man, but not from a woman to my boyfriend at a male dominated office.

Well, in the workplace, constant compliments of the sort can be reported as sexual harassment. Just an fyi. If you ever become uncomfortable, contact your manager or hr.

It's disrespectful. I mean if he complimented you one or two times here and there because you looked or smelled awesome. That acceptable, but as a constant thing mmmm no sounds like he is flirting.
