Cholestasis in pregnancy?

Has anyone tested positive? What symptoms did you have. I'm getting tested for it.my hands and feet have been itching and I've been nauseated. I also have eczema so I itch already but hands and feet itching are new. Any one had this itching and not have cholestasis?

I was tested at 33 weeks.....i passed! My doctor said it really only applys to itching on your hands and feet. So anyone saying whole body, its probably just normal pregnancy irritation. Definitely get tested either way though!

My symptoms was itching all over my body....except my hands and feet. They didn't itch so the doctors figured it was just a skin irritation. After me insisting on a blood test, it came back that I have cholestasis. Don't ignore any kind of itching. Now I'm on medicine which controls the itching but it's still there. Will be induced at 37 weeks.

I thought about bringing it up to my doctor at my next appointment my feet will itch like crazy but only at night time while trying to sleep. I feel like its mainly dry skin but want to be on the safe side.

I have a history of it so I know what it feels like. It's an insane itch in your hands and feet. The skin will turn red and blotchy and feel hot. I started showing symptoms the past few weeks, more so now at 34.5 weeks. I've had my blood drawn and I'm still within normal limits. I'm waiting for the next set of labs to see where I stand. I'm really hoping to have my labs low enough to make it to 39 weeks. Once you're diagnosed, it's hell. Biweekly nsts and early induction at 37 weeks. And at 37 weeks, we're no where near done cooking so it's iffy if it will even work.

I just got tested today have to wait til tuesday for the results 😩😩  i have full body itch the only way i can describe it is the itch that ud get after having sunburn  and its worse at nightime 😩. If the test comes back i have it then baby has to come at 37 weeks  . Fingers crossed everything comes back ok and im just allergic to something

I tested positive this week as well.  I'm on the medication and will have to have NST's done twice a week to monitor baby.  I see high risk doctors on Monday and I'm hoping for more answers-- I'm worried sick because my doctor seemed very concerned in the office. She told me I will most likely be induced at 37 weeks.

Had the same itching and had Cholestasis in 2 out of 3 pregnancies. Make sure you bring it up asap. It's serious. The risk of stillbirth is something like 15% after the 37th week. I am currently in the hospital being induced at 36w 5d because of Cholestasis. Good luck! ❤️

I had it with my first pregnancy, my whole body itched to the point all I could do was take benadryl to help me sleep -- I ended up being induced at 36weeks! I'm 37 with this pregnancy and I haven't had any symptoms thank goodness

I went in a few weeks ago because I was extremely itchy all over and on my hands and feet. They did a blood test and it came back fine. Just been trying to manage with oatmeal baths and whatnot. A friend of mine however DID have it and she says it was so bad to the point of crying and screaming when it flared up.  Also, apparently your urine gets really dark too. Either way, she had a healthy baby. And there's meds to help with it. I hope you're okay!
