I don't get why people are annoyed when their partners are civil with their kids other parents. They SHOULD be nice to each other and not at each other's throats, how awful would that be for the child. And going from happy birthday to are they sleeping together is a pretty big jump.

Woah there, I think you are absolutely nuts for thinking they are messing around because she texted him "Happy Birthday ".  He's the father of her child and I think it's very classy of her to stay on good terms with him and to give a nice gesture on such a special day.
