Help???

I will be 36 weeks Sunday I have been having contractions and have "dropped" but not dialated any. My doctor said she isn't to concerned because my daughter is big and perfectly healthy. I'm getting really annoyed with the contractions because they aren't enough to do anything other then make me uncomfortable and aggravated. Is anyone else going through this and have any advice?
