Ultrasound!

For those of you who received an ultrasound around 9 weeks, we're they able to do a regular one or did they have to do a vaginal one? My appt is Tuesday and I am just curious. I had a vaginal one when I was 5 weeks cause I was cramping but it was to early to see much.
