I'm a FTM & I Was Wondering What If Your Milk Didn't Come While You Was In The Hospital And You Had To Give Your Baby Formula Like Would The Baby Be Different ? I Just Want To Know How Some Mommies Didn't Have Milk But Maybe Got It Later & Is It Bad To Feed Baby Formula And Breast Milk Because I've Seen Some Moms Do It.

Formula fed baby here. I am happy to report that I grew into a perfectly healthy adult.

I'm currently trying my hardest to breast feed my baby, but my supply is pretty low, so I'm supplementing with formula. I'm also happy to report that my baby is thriving.

You can get a syringe with a tiny tube and attach it to your nipples.. Then feed the baby that way.... It works well. Mine didn't come in at all. I was pretty dry. Only about 5mls for both boobs. I was so upset, but the world will not be over if you have to formula feed :) good luck!

My milk came in 5 days after I had my son. It'll come in just be patient!

You don't produce milk until a few days later after labor. You have colostrum which is what baby needs at first. I'm only 5 days postpartum and today I was barely able to pump 1oz at a time. I'm hoping more will come as days go by. I was breastfeeding and it was too painful plus I felt like my baby wasn't eating enough, so what I did was I fed her formula yesterday and now that I have a bit of breastmilk coming in I'm using the formula as my backup. Don't feel bad if you have to feed your baby formula, do what you think it's right you don't want your baby losing  weight
