Early pregnancy plz help

I don't have my first appointment until May 3 which would make 8wks. The first appointment is just a meeting kind of, they will give me paperwork and another pregnancy test, but no ultrasound. I honestly want an ultrasound because of previously having a blighted ovum and nervous it may happen again. Is cramping with no blood normal in early pregnancy? Also should I try to ask for an ultrasound because of previous pregnancy?
