Babies can safely go up to 4 days without a bowel movement, according to our pediatrician. I would try taking a rectal temp, sometimes that will stimulate them to poo. You could also try "bicycling" your baby's legs. Just do the same motion they would do if they were riding a bike, it'll help move things around down there as well as loosen up some gas if they have any. Just be gentle and don't force it if they aren't cooperating. Also rub his/her belly. My son went two days without a poo and the third morning I bicycled his legs and rubbed his belly. He had a huge poo about twenty minutes later.

My baby is 3 weeks and constantly wanting to eat but no dirty diapers. However she has been very gasy. I move her legs like she's riding a bike and when she gets fussy I rub her stomach- clockwise motion. It has made her blow out two diapers!

I would still let your doctor know that this is happening. Just in case.

Put Vaseline on a q tip, but it in his bum and move it around a bit. Not too far in and be very gentle. It works.
