Case of the Ex
A man and a woman date for about 2 years when she finds out he's cheating. She breaks up with him, but they're still talking, trying to figure out how to work things out. She wants to move on because the trust is gone. She decides to use another man to try to move on from the ex. One night, she irresponsibly has sex with the guy and 2 weeks later, finds out she's pregnant. She has no desire to be in a relationship with the guy, they barely know one another. She's distraught over the situation because 1. She can't believe she would do something so stupid as having UNPROTECTED sex with this person. 2. She had to tell her ex and it was tough because they had been trying, and failing, to get pregnant when they were together.
Fast Forward: The baby's father has disappeared, to no surprise. The woman and the ex had been seeing each other throughout her pregnancy, however, they never reestablished their relationship. He tells her that he can get past he pain of her being pregnant by another man. However, she feels that he's trying to hold her back from moving on. Like he's giving her hope that someday, they will be together. But she doesn't want hope, she wants a guarantee. She believes he's seeing other women, but of course he won't admit it. She loves him. She knows he loves her. But...does she wait for him to figure out what he wants? Is he using her pregnancy as an excuse to have his cake and eat it too? Why would he commit to a relationship with her, if he can have the same perks without the commitment....
