Possible miscarriage
Hi lovely ladies, I'm looking for any advice or shared experiences you are able to share. Sorry for the long post but I want to get all the info in - bear with me! 
My last period was 3rd Feb, tested positive 4 days before my period was due and several more tests from my period due date and the weeks after confirmed I was pregnant.
I should be 10+2 now. I've booked in with the midwife and my first scan was booked for the 29th April.
Last weekend I started having period pain type cramps, nothing severe but enough to notice. This was followed by intermittent brown discharge, again nothing major, just spots when I wipe, no staining on my underwear. My GP sent me to the EPU for a scan yesterday which showed a pregnancy of around 5-6 weeks. There was no heartbeat but this is typical for a pregnancy this early.
We were told that one of a few things happened. Either, the pregnancy stopped at 5-6 weeks (4-5 weeks ago) but I have shown no signs of miscarriage. Or I have my dates seriously wrong (I'm meticulous with dates so this is unlikely), or I have somehow miscarried and become pregnant again. I have to wait an entire week for another scan to confirm. I am going out of my mind.
This is my test taken this morning which has only made me even more confused -
As you can see it's a very clear positive. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Would my HCG levels still be this high 5 weeks after the pregnancy stopped?
