Starting birth control right away? Or should I wait until my period starts?

I do not know anything about birth control and I don't know if I should start it now or wait until the first day of my period or the Sunday after the first day. I'm not taking it so that I don't get pregnant, the doctor told me he thinks I have PCOS and that I should take it.

I'm actually starting birth control today. My doctor told me that even though you start on Monday, Tuesday, etc. on your period wait to take the pill on that Sunday. So do what your doc has told you or ask when you should be starting your pills. Hope that helps! Good Luck! ✌🏽️

My Dr said the Sunday after you start an so did my surgeon after I lost my baby at 22 weeks. They say its best that way you dont get your period on the weekends, which is pretty cool.

Whenever you think it'll be easier. People say the Sunday start is easiest to remember but I'm not sure why. I started mine on a Tuesday and I remember it fine
