Silly question: Would you watch a scary movie while pregnant?

I love scary movies,  but I am a pretty big baby and scream,  clench,  and tense up during scary parts.  We're thinking of renting the Conjuring,  but I'm not sure if I'm transferring stress to the baby while I go through the range of reactions one typically does during a scary movie... what do you all think?

my SIL is pregnant and she and her husband went to the movies to see a scary movie and she said she jumped at one part of the movie and felt the baby jump twice after it happened lol

Try not to stress yourself out about possibly stressing the baby out, it's just a movie. 😊 If you start to get a tension-induced headache from the movie stressing you out then you may want to consider saving it for another time because you may enjoy it more - I love scary movies and I've watched so many that (almost) no scary movie gets me anymore, maybe a jump scene will make me jump but that's about it. I wouldn't recommend something like the Saw movies because it could possibly cause you to loose whatever you've recently eaten because of the gore, but a possession movie like the conjuring should be okay. If you start to get too freaked out you could always hide behind a pillow until you know it's safe!
(P.s. I've seen the conjuring before, there are a few jump scenes and some scenes are definitely more intense than others - you should be okay though. It is definitely on the better/high quality end of possesion movies and is very well done as a whole.)

When I watch a scary TV show, I put a stuffed animal on my tummy to "protect" my baby from being scared & my husband thinks its the cutest thing :)   But yeah I watch suspenseful TV shows all the time, I have really bad vomiting so I rest allllll the time & I will basically watch anything :)

I didn't like scary movies when not pregnant. I normally am cool with vampire and witch stuff though. But lately my dreams are off the hinges so I am just trying to minimize the negative vibes while I'm pregnant.

I've been avoiding scary movie simply because of all my crazy nightmares!!! Even my regular tv shows give me nightmares now lol
