Conditional release

Has anyone's spouse gotten a conditional release from the national gaurd or tried and had the request denied. The gaurd was good for my husband when he was a bachelor but now that he's married the 180 bucks he's making a drill isn't cutting it. We have two roommates and one car and both have jobs and we still can't make ends meet. He's afraid that if he puts in a request to be released that they'll treat him badly afterwards if they say he can't get out. We just really need active pay. I don't know how we can continue to live this way working 7 days a week and still not being able to pay bills. We've talked to a navy recruiter and they want him if he gets the conditional release.
