Fertility Meds and Insurance
So I am in California and working with an IVF Clinic here. I am waiting for this weekend to attempt a pregnancy test, otherwise I wait for Aunt Flo to show up and begin cycle 3.
So far I have only done times monitored cycles. Weekly blood tests and ultrasounds. I have been on clomid each each cycle and began Follistim this last cycle. Was suppose to do a trigger shot (Lupron) but sadly the specialty pharmacy messed up the order and I did not receive it in time.
So... That leads to the most recent dilemma ... Trying to obtain these rather expensive medications using my insurance which covers fertility treatments.
It has been three weeks since a prescription order was placed for Follistim 300IU and the pharmacy has given me yet another excuse as to why it has not been processed.
So the pharmacy I paid out of pocket screwed up and lost my order.
My insurances pharmacy cannot seem to process the order.
Has anyone else had these issues? How have you resolved them?
