Wtf is this??

So this isn't pregnancy or anything of that nature related, but I didn't know where else to ask. So. I've noticed a couple little white spots on my tonsils. No fever or sore throat or anything, just the white spots. I only noticed it because one is in the front of my tonsils, rubbing on the back of my tongue and it's super annoying! I tried using a cotton swab the remove it but it didn't budge, I also tried gargling warm salt water and that didn't do anything. Does anyone have any clue what it could be?! Do sometimes the white spots appear before other symptoms when you have strep throat? I can rule out any type of std. Help!!!
