Taking Clomid. Any advice?

So the 12th of this month (after TTC for almost 2 years total) my doctor diagnosed me with not ovulating (don't know doctor term lol) and I was really upset but then he told me that he's going to have me start taking Clomid when I start my period (hopefully the 28th) but my insurance don't cover it but I'm going to pay for it out of pocket anyways. I have a ultrasound appt the 22nd cause he wants to check something...forgot what 😞 but he said it can take up to 6 months to get pregnant with Clomid if not longer if there is other problems....I'm starting to lose hope and wonder if it will ever happen or is Clomid even worth it...Anyone taken Clomid and gotten pregnant? How long did it take? Any advice to boost my chances of conceiving?
