Weirdly heavy period (TMI with pics)

Usually my periods are relatively light but lately they've been so much heavier. I now wear overnight pads for a few hours and they would fill up. The blood is also thicker than usual. The only change in my life is I just started the pill. several heavy clots fall out every time I go to the bathroom. Sorry for the gross pics btw, I put my finger next to it for size reference
