Can orange juice cause a misscarriage?

I have this friend that told me not to drink to much Orange juice because it could cause me to misscarry. I have never herd of anything like this. Is this true?

I've taken a course on nutrition in pregnancy,  read a couple of books and spoken to my doctor and midwife about do's and don'ts and I've never heard anything about too much orange juice (other than it being high in sugar,  so drinking lots can contribute to excess weight gain). It's recommended to have orange juice before a meal because the vitamin c in it helps your body absorb iron (and a lot of pg women don't get enough iron). One caveat is that you should only drink juice that's been pasteurised - fresh squeezed juices you can buy can have harmful bacteria in them.

Orange juice Is fine just drink 8 oz a day it's packed with potassium and vitamin c. Vitamin C causes uterine contractions and could cause miscarriage but only if you take it in high amounts

I would be fucked of this were true! Drink it daily as vitamin C helps absorb other vitamins.

However I'm 39 weeks so I don't think that it's true!
