20 weeks tomorrow, rib pain while sleeping?

Ive been having awful rib pain, well pain in the rib area, it makes it super hard to fall asleep and even harder to stay asleep during the night. Anyone have any suggestions, ideas, or know what is causing the pain?

I started having those pains around that time and had them up until Monday this week (I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow.)

For me it was the baby kicking and getting into my ribs. I found that laying on the side that hurts (weird, I know) actually helped. Also I used a hot/cold pack and either warmed it up or put it in the freezer for a bit to ease the discomfort.

If the pain stays consistent and doesn't come and go then I would let your care provider know because that might mean that your ribs are bruised (happened to me this last weekend) or they could be fractured.

Get use to it it gets worse as you become further along. Maybe try rubbing where it hurts I know it helps me and I'm 31+4. If that don't help try Tylenol or talk to your doctor about it.
