I had my first ultrasound two weeks ago at what I believe was 8 weeks. It was abdominal and they didn't measure anything or even confirm the heart rate (we did hear the heart beat though!). I was not given a due date. I am scheduled to go back next week for my intake. I thought the midwife said I would have another ultrasound then, but I called the office to confirm and they said no, the next ultrasound isn't until 20 weeks. Is that normal? I feel like I'm seeing so many ultrasounds with "baby measuring at" and specific heart rates. Anyone know what the standard ultrasound schedule is in the US?
