Stomach virus while pregnant?

I've been up for the past 5 hours puking every 20 minutes. I caught a stomach virus from my brother. I can't keep anything down not even water. Every time I drink some water I instantly throw it back up. Worried I'm going to get dehydrated. Thoughts, experiences? Just worried for my baby I am 22 weeks

I had a stomach virus when I was pregnant with my daughter (who is now 5). I don't remember how far along I was exactly but definitely past 20 weeks. After 12hrs of being sick and still not feeling any relief I went to the hospital labor and delivery triage and they kindly took me to a private room and gave me IV fluids and monitored the baby with a heart monitor for a few hours which put me at ease from worry and the fluids made me feel much better and recover quicker. Even though I was feeling miserable the baby was fine and of course went on to be a healthy baby girl. I hope you feel better!

Children liquid benadryl! If it can stay down for 5 minutes it will help with the nausea and if that gets staved then you can get some sleep. I did that and soaked in the tub (as long as you can get up quick & easy). Hope you're feeling better soon.

I had food poisoning around the same amount of weeks. For 4 hours I was on the tiolet, vomiting or otherwise, and I couldn't keep anything down. I would just sip on ginger ale and gatorade even though I would throw them right back up. Pick something that tastes the same coming up, and ride it out. If you start to get super dizzy or just feel like you absolutely need to go to the hospital, then do so. Dehydration while pregnant is no joke. Popscicles were a life saver for me because they quenched my thirst and also made me less hungry. Feel better.

I had pneumonia and puked all over an ER. They gave me cough drops. Lol you'll be fine. It will suck because you can't take hardly anything, but you'll be fine.  Just stay in contact with your doc and try not to worry.

Lots of gatorade (electrolytes), even if you puke it up, and just ride it through. Stomach bug should last any thing more than a day or two. Force yourself to eat soups or soft stuff and drink warm liquids. ER is no fun but it is there as an option if you feel like you need it.

Try drinking water with electrolytes in it.  You can buy electrolyte powder from a chemist or put a half teaspoon each of salt and glucose in every glassful.  Or even coconut water is nature's perfect electrolyte drink.  It will hydrate you more than plain water and is easier to keep down.  But you may need iv fluids if you are throwing up more than you keep down.  I hope you feel better soon.  Look after your little one, you're the only one who truly can.
