I've been in the hospital for 13 days due to bulging membranes and 1cm dilated.  Yesterday I went into labor at 2 am and they managed to hold it off with magnesium.  I started to go into labor at about 1 am this morning but this time is was faster and not dying down.  The tried other drugs to stop it but when I got up between contractions to pee I started to bleed a lot.  The nurse checked me and I was thick 2 cm and bulging membranes ( the membranes managed to retract and this isn't how it looked 24 hours earlier).  Needless to say that nothing was working so they decided to have me give birth vaginally after 2 csections due to his size.  Everything progressed so fast that an epidural was still in process as I layed on my side and I felt pressure and the need to push.  No one from nicu was there or ready and the neonatologist was in yet either.  He immediately started to crown at which they told me to not push because no one was ready.  That was the hardest part but I managed to breath through 3 contractions before his head was ready to pass through which it did.  At 2:53 am Nicholas Joesph Nardi was born weighing 2 pounds 3 ounces.  He was flailing and crying his teeny tiny cries.  They whisked him away immediately.  They said he's doing exceptionally well for a baby his gestation and thought maybe our dates were off.  They call him a 26 weeker but I like to call him a 27 weeker since he's only a day shy of it.  He was breathing on his own and they only put these things in his nostrils to force air in. He was crying when I visited him but I managed to soothe him.  He opened his eyes for me when I was talking to him.  He's so tiny but he's perfect.  He scored an 8-9 on his apgar which they said is fantastic for a full term let alone a preemie.  We have a long road ahead and I just pray we make it out on top.  I love my little miracle.  I miss him in my belly and I wish I could be wishing him happy birthday July 18th like we planned but God had a different plan.  Please pray for my baby.  I just want him healthy and in my arms.  I was too emotional to take a picture, but a picture will definitely come later.  Thank you Glow.  This was a short journey for me. Learning the ways of the nicu with sounds and monitors.  It's all so dizzy.  I was able to Kangaroo him twice today for over an hour each.  He was so soothed by my heartbeat seeing as he was crying before he was on me.  He heard my husband and immediately opened his eyes.  He knows mommy and daddy love him very much.

*Update*

Our handsome guy is 2.5 years old. He spent 74 days in the NICU and by the grace of god had no major issues while there. Just a grower and a feeder. Our family is complete. God is good ❤️
