How long was your first cycle off the pill???

Question

Ok so I came off the pill about 6 weeks ago, had a period pretty soon after but now it's cd31 and no sign of AF.

The pill I was on before was progesterone only and so I didn't have a period for about 1.5 yrs so I don't really know what to expect in terms of cycle length.

I've taken a few home tests over the last week but all are BFN.

I really doubt a BFP will happen in month one but I just wondered whether anyone else's first cycle off the pill was really long/how long it takes for your body to adjust being off the pill?!?!

So just an update I got my bfp tonight I'm still in shock as didn't know exactly where I was in cycle and only coming off pill in January hoping the same goes for you too baby dust to all

It took me 3 months to regulate after I was totally off the pill. I had really long cycles they were 45, 40, 38... Then they shot back to 30 which is the usual.

I came off the pill at the end of February and had the period you get from stopping birth control from Feb 28th-March 4th. I didn't get my period again until April 18th-April 24th. So I had a 50 day cycle when normally I have a 30 day cycle. It's completely normal to have a longer cycle the first month stopping birth control. It takes time for your body to regulate itself again. Just be patient and don't panic. If it gets to a point where you think it's been too long then call your doctor.

My first cycle after 12 years on the pill was right around 60 days then they went to 24 and 25. After that it went to 42 days then to 33..... Its a roller coaster!

I'm on cd33 now af predicted for tomorrow 4/5/2016 though was also predicted for 29/4/2016 lol I just want to regulate my body so know when to ttc very annoying good luck to you

Hi, I came off last month - had withdraw then af  cd38, only very light and short! Mine always were quite short (if I remember right been too long lol) good luck x

I'm in the same boat. Just went off the pill, which I took for 3 months then had af, for 10 years, and my body is just different. I have no idea how to read what's going on!  Can't wait to be regular again!  I'm giving my body 1 cycle to clean before we go hard ttc.

I too was on progesterone only pill for a year with no periods. Came off it in January. February and March periods were normal 28 day cycle period lasting 5/7 days in both months. However got af on 1st April few days early and this one was very heavy and lasted 15 days. I'm guessing like with you body just getting back to normal. Good luck

Mine was the opposite. Mine was really short. It will just be your body adjusting. Give it a couple of cycles at least to regulate
