FTM question

Am I the only one who wasn't planning on washing new clothes and toys before the baby uses them?? I don't wanna sound lazy or like a terrible FTM 👀 I just had never heard of doing that until I here. I've asked a lot of people I know (mom, aunts, friends) and no one I know has done it in the past. If it's absolutely necessary though then of course I will.
