What worked for you during labor?

What worked for you during labor? I didn't take a Lamaze class so I feel like I'm going into this almost completely blind. I've received advice from several family members and friends but I was curious as to what helped/soothed other mothers during their labor. I know everyone's experience is different but was it silence? Meditation? Low lights? Music playing? Lavender sprints? Back rubs? A particular breathing technique? Please feel free to share. :)
