Giving birth to a baby girl officially Tuesday. First baby. Any advice from Mommies or Moms-to-be out there? Anything.😶

If people want to help, let them.
If someone wants to come bring you food, let them. If they want to fold your laundry, let them. If they want to watch your baby for an hour so you can sink to your nose in a bubble bath, let them. If they ask "is there anything I can do"?, come up with something because they truly do WANT to help.
The offers will quickly slow down & eventually stop, so take it while you can. You don't have to be super mom right out the gates. You're learning & that can be stressful!

Go buy a few packs of cheap Hanes granny panties. You will bleed like a crime scene after birth, and you don't want to ruin any nice panties. Stock up on Always Overnights. Those were the best pads for the first week or two. You won't be allowed to use tampons for a while. Ask for a stool softener as soon as you and baby get settled. Seriously, your first poop post baby will be terrifying. They'll give you this thing called a peri-bottle to use instead of wiping after you pee or poop, ask for a second one, it'll become your very best friend. Get a few frozen lasagnas/frozen meals you can easily throw into the oven, you won't want to cook. The nursing bras that look kinda like sports bras are the most amazing things ever in the beginning. I promise. If you plan to breast feed, get a really good water bottle. You'll be MAD thirsty. Don't take cute clothes to come home in, you'll still look about 6 months pregnant after baby comes. Comfy yoga pants and a baggy t shirt always felt the best to me. If you don't plan to just hang out in the hospital gowns after delivery, make sure you double your panties, or are wearing pants that you don't care about getting stained. Be nice to your nurses, they control the pain meds.
