IUGR and lung development
My baby has IUGR by about 4 weeks in head and 6 weeks in legs. I also have low fluid, so the placenta seems to sit right on top of her chest. Our latest ultrasound shows that the heart is taking up a lot of room in chest, but only because the lungs are tiny and not developing. The doctor says that the steroid shots are not a good option for us as of right now because he would like the baby to stay in as long as possible. She currently weighs 300 grams, and I will be 24 weeks tomorrow. Has anybody delivered an IUGR baby that had underdeveloped or tiny lungs? I would love advice.
