Insensitivity

How can people be so rude? Since the news of my pregnancy has gotten around my town I have been showered with congratulations and heart warming gestures... Until the last week or so. I'm a young mom-to-be (19 yrs old) and my pregnancy was unplanned, however, my boyfriend and I are proud and excited to welcome our little girl into the world. This past week has been filled with people calling and messaging saying they "heard the news" and replacing congratulations with "oh" and "are you keeping it?". I am 20 weeks along of course I'm keeping my baby? I am a graduated, working woman. My boyfriend is a graduated working man with a great income. Yes, we had both planned on going to school but our baby doesn't stop us from eventually going. I am fed up with these comments! Why do these people think my life is over/ why are they so concerned in the first place?
