Chromosome testing

Hey everyone. I had a mmc in feb and had a d n c done. The chromosome testing came back normal which im unclear what that means. I know it means there were no abnormalities as far as chromosomes but why would it have happened then? Has anyone been through this? Im nervous that its my body that caused the mc. We have one 7 year old who is fine. Just thought id ask... thank you in advance.
