Should mothers to be get a mother's day gift?

My SIL is expecting her baby a few days after Mother's day. I don't know if it's appropriate to get her a gift or not. Any thoughts?

She's a mother. She carries her baby around with her 24/7. Nurtures and protects the baby. If that's not a mother I don't know what is.

I don't buy gifts for every person in my family who's a mom. I buy Mother's Day presents for my mom and my husband's mom. That's it!
