I have a Guinea pig and I hold her daily and clean her cage weekly.. Her cage is also in my bedroom, I haven't had any problems I'm 34 weeks pregnant

My boys would be so sad if I didn't love on them daily. ( this cage is only for giving them outside time their real cage is very big)

I have a hedgehog and not too long ago I played with her, pet her, and watched her roam around in the yard, but I washed my hands thoroughly afterwards and NEVER touched her poop. That's what SOs are for ;) lol

I'm a vet tech and work in an animal hospital. I just wear gloves when I handle the rabbits, Guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, etc.
