Missed miscarriage with twins 8 weeks 😥

A few days ago my bf and I went for our first 12 week scan. Unfortunately it didn't go well as we were told the babies heartbeat had stopped at 8-9 weeks, they also told us I was carrying twins. I had no symptoms and honestly thought everything would be ok so it came as a bit of a shock. I now have to go for a d&c tmro to clear everything out... I know these things are common and we've been reassured we can still go on to have a perfectly healthy baby but I just wondered if anyone else found out at their 12 week scan this devastating news? Do they watch you closer if we're lucky enough to I fall again? I'm petrified the same thing is going to happen and we won't find out til the first scan again? Sorry to waffle on....just looking for reassurance I guess?? xx
