Do you think pregnant women should celebrate Mother's Day?

I'm 22 weeks with our first child & keep being told that I'm not included because I'm not a mom yet. I don't mind, but I'd like to get everyone else's opinions.

Why would you not celebrate Mother's Day ?  Especially if you have life inside of you.. Do you drink alcohol when your pregnant? Are you using drugs? No right? Okay that means your taking care of the life inside of you. Whether your baby is born yet or not you're  still taking care of what you created. If you miscarried well then that's up to you if you choose to celebrate or acknowledge it I should say. Your an Expectant Mother ... "Mother expecting baby".

Personally I chose not to but I don't see why other women can't celebrate. We are technically moms.

U have every right to celebrate even if u r pregnant... Once u r pregnant u r a mom, as u would already be loving and caring ur baby  even before a dad does... U feel happy for every twinge, every turn and every kick of ur baby... Go for it GL, u r already a wonderful MoM..! I wonder how some of people around u can actually say that u cannot celebrate as u r still not a mom...😳😳 so sorry for their dumbness..! I lost my baby when I was only ten weeks along, but still I have the pain of loss as a mom can have... Btw congratulations beautiful mama..!❤️❤️

I actually decided to celebrate it though I'm still 31 weeks pregnant with my first. My family didn't congratulate me because they don't believe I'm a mom yet. But whatever my SO and I think I am so were are celebrating. So happy mothers day to all mommies and mommies to be❤

I wasn't going to, but my mom, in laws and husband all got me gifts. I appreciated it, especially since I wasn't expecting it! I didn't ask for anything and the only thing I really said was I can't wait to celebrate with my baby next year. It's a personal choice.

If it had been me I wouldn't have, but if someone else wants to that's between them and the person that needs to do the shopping.

I say no only because I'm very superstitious and it would make me nervous having lost one child and almost losing my son. But I do think you become a mother when you are pregnant and with that I say do what you feel is right and what makes you happy.
