Early bird

I'm now 34 weeks..I had an appointment on Thursday and everything went well, for the most part....my doctor decided to check me since I had lost a huge chunk of my muscus plug and that I was bleeding ALOT when it came to having sex...she ran a few test for different things and all came back negative and she checked my cervix (using her hand) and it was still closed..she sent me to get an ultrasound done just to check up on baby..the tech looked at my cervix/uterus and seen that it was thinning rather quickly..I was already starting to "funnel"...I then went and got steroid shots in order to develop baby's lungs in case she comes early...on Saturday I ended up on the hospital with horrible contractions and when they went to check me again my cervix was now open enough to fit the whole tip of your finger in..I'm on bed rest for 4 weeks and I'm so nervous that she will be here sooner then that..has anyone else experienced something like this before?
