Stage 4 Cancer

My Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 19 months ago. I've been TTC for 16 months now 1) because my husband and I were ready but 2) because I wanted my dad to be a grandpa before he died. I prolonged seeing a specialist (our first appointment is next week), but today learned my dad was diagnosed at stage 4 and given 6 to 7 months without treatment and only 11 with treatment. I'm obviously devastated, but it feels even worse because I don't think I'll be able to deliver a baby by then. If I can even get pregnant. One miscarriage and that dream really is gone. This is so stressful and then I worry about being able to carry to term dealing with such stress on the mind and stress on the body. Has anyone else TTC when a family member is going to pass, or been pregnant in similar situation?
