Cloth diapering?

Question

Anybody out there considering cloth diapers for their new one? 
Did you do so with a previous kid? Are you a FTM about to jump in head first? 
I'm a FTM and knee deep in the research right now. (Picked up a few from the swaps).
If you've done it before any words of wisdom for the rest of us? 
If your new and have been starting your stash, what are you planning to try? 
Would love to start a CD dialogue. :)

My daughter got rashy bc I couldn't get the detergent out so we eventually gave up. She had a lot of skin stuff though. I'm thinking of using a diaper service this time. They pick up, clean, and deliver the cloth diapers.

I am a FTM and planning on cloth diapering. I have bought a combination of all in ones as well as shells with prefold inserts. I have newborn prefolds up to toddler size. I have a total of 26 diapers between the mix and from what I hear, that should be plenty for washing every other day. If baby is too small at first, I will use some disposables just until he/she fits well in cloth. I am excited to cloth diaper and think they are so adorable! Good luck girl!

I'm going to use cd. I'm sure we will use disposable at times. My plan is to mostly use AIO I have about 25 bumgenius AIO and about 10 pocket of other brands.

I only have 2 NB so hope to get some at our shower.  We are doing a diaper raffle in hopes to get more.

This is my collection so far and happy to say all for $40 as most were hand me downs from a co worker!

I'm a FTM and considering doing cloth diapering in addition to regular diapers. I just like the idea of cloth diapers because I think they let the skin breath better and reduces the risk of rashes. So when I'm hoping to use cloth diapers but when I go out I'll be using disposable diapers.

I'm doing the same thing my first had such horrible rash problems the first two years we were in and out of the doctors office three or more times a week. I won't be doing that again. I'm looking at Rumparooz and Best Bottom covers over the prefolds (using snappi's w/ the prefolds) and Bumgenius and Rumparooz pockets diapers for night time use. I went on Amazon and got one of each plus a packet of hemp and bamboo inserts to see which I might like to know what to register for on Amazon. But I would love to hear from some experienced moms out there I did weeks of research before I decided on those three brands.

I'm a FTM jumping right in! With 7 1/2 weeks tdd I'm getting nervous at my choice but my family is supportive and I think I totally got this! We have a good stash already. Following for info.

We cloth during the day with our first - flats and covers. At night we use disposables because she is the most epic pee-er ever. She has peed out of a disposable in under 4 hours before :/ I love cloth and will be doing it primarily with our second too!

I'm 19, a FTM due in July, and a proud cloth diapering mama until I die! I'm doing AIO or All in One's because they work just like sposies and you can just throw them in the washer if you're breast feeding. They're usually 11-ply with a 2-7 ply insert. I put some inserts with gussets on my registry for extra holdage. I will be going between two houses with my little one so I put just under 40 diapers on my registry. FTM and planning to CD. I'm going to a CD workshop in a couple weeks and will probably decide what brands to try after that, but leaning towards Rumparooz. The double gusset is supposed to be good for preventing leaks and I like how easy and customizable pockets seem to be.

I've learned a lot from reading reviews on babygearlab and joining a fb group for CD fams in Chicago.

We are CDing and I'm a ftm, it's an environmental issues for me as much as not having chemicals on the babies skin. 
We will be using laundry nuts to do the final wash after soaking with a stain remover, bicarbonate of soda and white vinager works well. And strips them of any residue. I am using the bambo disposable liners for catching poo. As you can flush them and they biodegrade. 
We did A LOT of research, my husband spent hours on the net, and we settled for Charlie banana, I bought a pack of avia, which were half the price, but compared to the CB, the quality was shocking. Having the adjustable legs I think is quite important too, I remember my younger sisters nappies, and they wee not pretty. Good luck would like to hear your findings.
