Has this happened to you?

I went in for my ultrasound yesterday morning at a special facility. Dr office called me that afternoon but I missed it. This morning get a call again. They said I need to be on pelvic rest. ( no sex, or anything entering vagina) my placenta is lying low. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if so what was the outcome?

I was put on pelvic rest and everything ended up being fine. Just take it easy for a couple days

This issue was detected at my six week appointment. We have had an ultrasound every week since due to other issues. At 13 it is starting to move up:) hoping to move more by next week!

I was out on pelvic rest at 20 weeks following my gender ultrasound as the placenta was low lying... Just had my 28 week ultrasound yesterday to check on the placenta and everything moved up!!!!! The majority of time the placenta does move up on its own as the uterus grows!! I stressed for 8 weeks, but it all turned out ok!!! Good luck!!

Yes. I found out at 19 weeks my placenta was partially covering the cervix. I did my pelvic floor rest and took it very easy like they told me. I found out last week at 27 weeks that the placenta is now in the safe zone. My ob said it's very common and it's very rare that it won't move up. At the halfway point in pregnancy the placenta is large compared to the uterus.
