Low-lying Placenta & MCI Found at Ultrasound

Mirriah
I had my 20 wk anatomy scan on 04/29 and a follow up with my doc on 05/06, where she told us that I have a Low-lying Placenta (it's 1.9 cm away from my cervix) and that our baby has what's called "marginal cord insertion"... which is where the umbilical cord attaches into the side of the placenta instead of center, making it difficult for baby to get all the nutrients he needs...and it can come detached in some cases, and the baby bleeds out. Doc doesn't seem too worried about him, I'm just having ultrasounds every 4 wks now to check on his growth and in hopes the placenta moves up...but apparently these 2 issues together mean I could have to have an early c-section...that really scares me. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with this cuz there isn't a lot of info on the Web, apparently it only occurs in 7% if pregnancies!
