Not vaccinating question?

Question

Going off another post I just replied to, how do children who are not vaccinated go to school? At least in New York you need a full vaccination record and now you even need a dental record, so I'm just wondering how children who don't have any vaccines are able to attend school?

I only have a 16 month old so I'm naïve on the topic so if I'm wrong about something let me know!

Oh and I'm pro vaccinate so don't think I'm trying to understand for my child lol

With all my kids they asked for vaccination records (texas) except when it came to my 3rd son (i have 4 kids) two years later they still didn't ask me for one. I had to remind the school nurse and politely told her if my son has no shot record copies here, how many unvaccinated kids do you have here?? She then was rude and stormed off, since she stormed off, again i was quite polite, i did not give her a copy of my son's records. What i did do is called the district and let them know my concern and they did confirm my son...after two years of being in school had no copies of his shot record...which i provided and asked to look into that.

I've always wondered this as well lol. Saw on an episode of law and order a crock Doctor faked the vaccines for them... 🤔 but I am really curious as well lol

I live in New York. My sister was granted religious exemption from vaccines for my nephew before he started kindergarten. Not because she was anti-vax, but because the doctors office where he got his vaccines when he was a baby kept all their records on paper. The doctor passed away shortly after and all of my nephews medical records were lost 🤔
The school was trying to force her to give her sons all of his vaccinations all over again. So she filled out a religious exemption form to bypass their demands. It was actually incredibly easy, she just had to fill out the form and write out a letter explaining her decision.

In CA you have to provide your medical records yearly @ least through elementary school. And there is a form that needs to be filled out and signed off by a doctor, or religious professional if your child is not vaccinated for medical or religious reasons. That also needs to be submitted yearly as well. We had a deadline for submitting records or the exempt form, then after that the child was not allowed to attend until it was received. Same went for if their vaccination record was incomplete.

Some states still have exemptions. Some kids can not be vaccinated sure to allergies and health issues. Some states still allow religious or personal exemptions. It just depends on where you live.

I think it's required in order to go to school or else you have to homeschool but I could be wrong. I have no idea lol. I'm curious though too.
