Finger infection

I have a infection on the side of my nail not on it just near it . It's swollen not a lot but I see it on the side it hurts when I press on it . I had some yellow pus come out a couple days ago . I couldn't get it all out. What should I do without going to the doc I don't like taking a lot of meds . I'm already on meds for anxiety. There's no pus showing just swollen a bit I been soaking it in hot water and putting a bandage on it with antibacterial
