19w2d gender scan?

Question

My obgyn suggests having the "gender reveal" ultrasound at 20 weeks. I have trouble scheduling my ultrasound appointments around my husband's work schedule because he works until 5pm and the ultrasound appointments don't go any later than 2pm apparently.

This will be our second ultrasound and I scheduled it for 19w2d because my husband will be on vacation from work that week and I am off the day I scheduled it.

We're so excited to find out that day and have it planned to go out to dinner after and do either a cake or balloons in a box with some family.

Anyone have issues seeing the baby's gender earlier than 20 weeks? A few people I've talked to say it's early but others say there shouldn't be a problem at all. The doctor said it should be fine but I can't imagine having to leave and reschedule and be so disappointed

19 weeks should be just fine as long as baby cooperates! Our tech told us at 15 weeks and then confirmed at 20.

I heard of some doing it at 18 weeks. Don't know how true it is

I had my anatomy scan at 20 weeks 2 days and it's the perfect time to find out the gender! Please go ahead!

I found out at 15 weeks. We went to one of the 4D places. We had to pay out of pocket, but it was less than $100 and SO worth it! Most of them stay open late hours and on weekends.

We found out at 16 weeks so it's definitely not to early as long a baby cooperates.
