Nuva ring

I have a quick question, so I got off of my nuva ring in January and have been trying to have a baby with my husband. I've been tracking my period and everything. No luck still. Doctors told me that getting off the nuva ring it will take my period some time to readjust. But really this long? It's may now. I've been doing some research on it and have found many women have been saying that women can be one infertile. I was wondering if anyone has heard, experienced, etc about this and if this could be true.
