This is my first baby! What's the first item you brought?

I'm literally moving into my first home weeks before baby is due, so I'm thinking of buying buggy and cot first and then moving on to some housing items so that I already know I have them ready for the baby! I have a huge family as well so I don't really want to buy clothes as I know a lot of them will buy a lot of baby clothes so I will see what they get then top up on bits I need after...

The day we found out, my husband and I went to target to look at baby things because we were so excited. We knew it was too soon to really buy anything, but we wanted to anyway so we bought a pack of pacifiers. Now I'm sitting here with my 6 week old baby girl asleep on my chest. Crazy how fast it goes.

My partner and I love our converse so we bought these yesterday to go in our anouncement photo ... We are only 8weeks so won't be going crazy but we've already had 3 scans and baby has a strong heart beat of 148 bpm and the docs said change of miscarriage is significantly lowered once heart beat is confirmed. Will wait til 12 week scan before we really begin to invest!

I bib to tell my mom I'm pregnant! And then at about 15 weeks or so I went a got a crib, swing, two car seats, and two strollers. I spent a lot of money that day, considering I'm 19, work part time, and attend a university full time!

The very first thing my sister recommended we buy even if it's just one pack a week or every time we went to the store was wipies. Clothes you can get at a shower and crib, swing, tub, stroller, exit you can try to get at least one monthly so you don't drop to much cash at once. But get ALOT of wipies because that's something you will be using for AT LEAST the next two years (:

We are looking for a house now. I'm 23 weeks with twins and hoping that we find one and close before the babies get here. We haven't bought anything big, just stocking up on clothes and diapers. I see all these nurseries being decorated and I just can't wait to get started. Hang in there, it'll happen for you!

Hmm I think it was clothes once we found out our daughter was a girl. We have no storage so I mostly got small things like clothes and soaps and creams, baby powder, diaper cream. Didn't buy the car seat till 2 weeks from my due date just to be safe. Already had a stroller from my son and kept it cuz I used it with my daycare kids, I did buy a new double though a few months ago though.
