Sterilizing?

I spoke with my dr a few days ago about my new breast pump and she told me where i live its not necessary to sterilize my pump and bottles, just soak in a sink of hot soapy water and rinse off really well. I am interested to see how other moms treat and store bottles/pumps/soothers.

I soak the bottles in hot soapy water and then use a bottle brush. I sterilize them every other day using a sterilizing bag.

I don't sterilize. It's not necessary in most places. I even use straight tap water for formula.

I sterilize bottles and pumping equipment maybe once a month. Other than that I just use soap and very hot water to clean them
