Fix it or walk away(BFF issues)

Hey ladies, long and short of this story is my SO and I were trying to pick God parents for our first baby girl due in aug. I automatically picked my best friend and her recent husband. Thing is my SO and I were a lil concerned about what would happen if they should separate and the husband decide to not play his part. furthermore hes only connected to us THROUGH HER and their marriage.So being she is my best friend I told her of this concern but told her nonetheless he's still our first choice. Well she got all butt hurt saying we should pick someone else because we are all caught up on them breaking up. WTF!!!! I eventually got so pissed I said f it I'll just pick new ppl and now we don't talk. I think she was being one sided and petty. What do you think?
