How does maternity leave work in California?

This is my first time and I'm confused with maternity leave, disability, FMLA....what $% will I get paid? . 
I also have 3 weeks vacation I have not used do I have to use my vacation before I take any of the other time off?

You get 4 weeks before and 6 weeks after paid at 56% for disability. The first week is unpaid. Then after the disability is over, you get another 6 weeks of paid family leave paid at the same rate.

At my company you have to use your vacation first before short term disability or fmla. Short term disability pays $75 a week at my company. Every company is different though. (I also live in a different state and they don't pay anything for fmla)

I believe it is 4 weeks short term disability before birth, 6 weeks after birth, both paid 55% by state and 5% by employer. Fmla is 12 weeks unpaid, just guarantees that your position will be secure. I believe you can take your vacation after short term disability is over. This is how they explained it to me. Some companies offer maternity leave as well, so I would definitely start from calling HR and they should give you further steps of action. I think after all the leaves you can apply for family bonding time as well.
